Electrical Engineer Antwerpen

Electrical Engineer – Full/Halftime

Location: Kontena HQ, Antwerpen

Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an engineer to manage the full electrical lifecycle of our modular systems. You will be involved in the entire process: from the initial single-line diagram to the final commissioning of the module. You will translate complex power requirements (for cooling and IT loads) into practical applications and ensure that execution in the workshop aligns seamlessly with current standards (BS 7671 / RGIE / AREI). Where precision is required during the wiring or testing of panels, you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.

Responsabilities

  • Design & Engineering: Design electrical installations, draft schematics, and calculate cable sections and protection settings. You will ensure accurate as-built plans are ready for inspection.
  • Technical Workshop Management: Monitor the technical progress of the electrical assembly. You will ensure the production team interprets schematics correctly and resolve any electrical bottlenecks during the construction of the data center modules immediately.
  • Supply Chain & BOM Management: Manage Bill of Materials (BOM) for electrical components (such as UPS systems, PDUs, and switchgear), select suppliers, and monitor specifications.
  • Hands-on Installation & Testing: Guide and assist in the construction of distribution boards and cable pulling. You will perform internal Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) before the independent inspection body arrives.
  • Quality & Compliance: Oversee compliance with local regulations and our internal safety requirements. You will serve as the primary point of contact for external inspection bodies.

Your profile

  • Education & Experience: You are an Electrical Engineer (Bachelor/Master or equivalent through experience) with at least 2 years of experience in industrial electricity, panel building, or modular systems.
  • Technical Insight: You have a thorough knowledge of electrical regulations and understand the interaction between electrical power supply and mechanical cooling systems.
  • Software: You are proficient in electrical design software (e.g., EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, or See Electrical).
  • Mindset: You have a talent for organisation and a “can-do” attitude. You switch effortlessly between engineering complex power distributions and technical work on the shop floor.
  • Practical Orientation: You have demonstrable experience in testing and commissioning industrial electrical installations.

We look forward to receiving your response as soon as possible via the form below.

Benefits

  • Tangible Innovation: Build high-performance infrastructure from scratch.
  • Design-to-Build: See your blueprints come to life in our on-site assembly hall.
  • Agile Environment: Direct impact with minimal bureaucracy and fast decision-making.
  • Technical Growth: Work with the latest power, cooling, and monitoring technologies.
  • Integrity & Fair Exchange: We value technical mastery with competitive, transparent compensation and a culture of straightforward, reliable teamwork.
